This week’s menu has four amazing recipes that fit perfectly together! Pulled pork, fresh salad, homemade dressing and a cool fruit pie are dishes that everyone at the supper table will rave about.
When it’s time to make my meal plan for the week, I look for flavorful recipes and easy cooking methods. This week, I’m sharing a menu from that plan that has both of those important components. The cornerstone of the menu is tender, juicy pulled pork. Most every other Southerner I know, including me loves pulled pork. The thing is, during a busy week, I don’t have time to smoke a pork shoulder. That’s why I came up with two ways to make this dish, one in the Crock Pot and the other in the Instant Pot. Each of these handy kitchen tools cooks the meat perfectly. With the slow cooker, you just set it and forget it and if using the Instant Pot, the cooking time is cut down to less than 2 hours. Both of these recipes are fool proof and will soon become a “go-to” when you’re tight on time. Let’s get cooking!
