When the winter winds start to blow and the temperature takes a dive, it’s time to head indoors. I love creating a warm and cozy feeling in my home at the beginning of fall. I do that by adding warm throws over the back of sofas and chairs, adding fluffy pillows and putting on a comfy sweatshirt or sweater. I light a few candles and diffuse my favorite fall scents of cinnamon, pine and lemongrass. It’s also time to break out the hot chocolate, cider and maybe a little bourbon to keep us warm on the inside if you know what I mean. Once I’ve created a welcoming retreat in my house, then it’s time to enjoy all the comfort food recipes that we wait all year long. Soups, stews, big bowls of chili and decedent desserts are welcome additions to our menus at suppertime. To help you feel as snug as a bug in a run, I’ve put together a guying guide of Cozy Finds For Your Home along with a collection of Comfort Food Recipes. Grab a mug of something warm, sit back and enjoy!
