I have to admit, from the first of October through New Year’s Day, life can be pretty stressful. I try very hard not to subscribe to the hype and over the top messaging that comes with the holidays which means I have to be intentional about how I spend my time. I plan out my schedule along with the family’s and I make sure we have down time and family dinners along with social time with friends. One of the things I look for to help me make these times special is food that’s not only good to eat but also healthy.
Southern Breeze offers pre-sweetened, individually bagged teas for cold-brewing. Anyone who loves the refreshing flavor of sweet tea can enjoy a Southern staple without the bother of the traditional brewing process, and it’s also sugar-free. The Southern Breeze cold brew collection includes Original, Peach, Raspberry and Half & Half. Each box holds 20 single-serve bags, so you get to make your own special glass of tea. It’s easy – just pour 8 oz. of water over 1 tea bag, let steep for 5 minutes, toss out the tea bag and pour over ice!
To go with my guilt free, cold brew tea, I love to serve fresh veggies with some sort of homemade dip. My new favorite obsession is Onion. It’s a retro recipe that’s super easy to make and has a rich flavor that comes from caramelized onions. The combination of cool veggies and the creamy dip is a great combination. This is easy snacking that helps take the pressure off of what can be a hectic time of year.
