This menu includes one of A Southern Soul’s most beloved recipes along with three other dishes that make an outstanding supper any night of the week.One of my families favorite things for dinner is Italian food. Of course, that includes pizza, meatballs, homemade sauce and THIS Stromboli. I’ve been making this recipe for years and when I shared it on my blog, people went crazy for it. I think everyone likes how easy it is to make and the fact that you can change up the “stuffing” to fit your own likes. For the menu, I’ve combined it with my version of three bean salad, bread dipped in herb, garlic olive oil and herbs and to finish things off, angel food cake. Only the cake takes a little time but it can be made the night before. You can make the Stromboli and the salad ahead of time, keeping them in the fridge. When it’s time to start cooking dinner, just heat the oven for the Stromboli, take the salad out of the fridge since it’s best served at room temperature. Whip the garlic and herbs into the olive oil and slice up some bread. You can serve the cake with some sugared strawberries or just a dollop of fresh whipped cream. This might just be one of the best, make ahead meals yet!
