Easy to make, creamy chicken stew, ooey gooey, cheesy bread, a fresh, fall salad and bright, lemon bars come together to make a menu that your family will ask for over and over again!
This week, I’ve pulled together four recipes that have so much flavor in them that they just belong together. Does this make sense? You know, sometimes you put different dishes together and they fit perfectly like “peas and carrots.” They compliment one another and turn the meal into something special. This line up does just that!
Here’s how it all works.
The main dish, Southern Style Chicken Stew can be made a day ahead then just heated up when it’s time for supper. I always like to serve some sort of fresh salad with a meal and this crunchy, Broccoli Apple Salad is a great accompaniment to the creamy stew. When serving a bowl full of comfort, like this chicken stew, it’s only right to have some bread for dipping! This cheesy, Pull Apart Bread is a fun addition to the meal and everyone gets to grab their own “chunk” to enjoy. Last but not least, Lemon Bars add just the right amount of sweet and tart flavors to finish off the whole meal.
