Midweek Menu #40 has four great recipes that are easy to make and take all the stress out of getting a yummy meal on the table! If your goal is to gather your family around the supper table but need a little help doing it, then you’ve come to the right place.
Meal planning may seem like a chore to many folks but for me, it is an absolute necessity. The list of benefits is long but it actually boils down to a couple that is really important. Number one is being organized. Running my own business, A Southern Soul, can be quite hectic, and being organized is crucial to its success. I’ve taken the organizing skills I use in business and transferred them to meal planning which has allowed me to feel in control when it comes time to serving supper to my family. The second reason I’m such a fan of meal planning is that it saves money. I plan several of our meals based on what’s in season and what’s on sale at the grocery. I take it one step further with at least one recipe and make enough to get two, sometimes three meals from it. I get a bad attitude when it comes to wasting food so meal planning is one way I feel happy about what I’m buying, cooking, and serving.
This week’s menu is made up of four super simple recipes. I love sheet pan cooking and these Brats with Potatoes is a family favorite. I like serving it with Broccoli Apple salad that has a slightly sweet flavor and is full of crunchy veggies. Add in a warm loaf of Soda Bread and a slice of Key Lime Pie then you’ve got a meal that is without a doubt something your family will love. It’s meal planning success without any stress!
