Meal planning may seem like a chore to many folks but for me, it is an absolute necessity. The list of benefits is long but it actually boils down to a couple that is really important. Number one is being organized. Running my own business, A Southern Soul, can be quite hectic and being organized is crucial to its success. I’ve taken the organizing skills I use in business and transferred them to meal planning which has allowed me to feel in control when it comes time to serving supper to my family. The second reason I’m such a fan of meal planning is that it saves money. I plan several of our meals based on what’s in season and what’s on sale at the grocery.

This week’s menu like always super easy to make. The appetizer, salad, and dessert can all be made ahead of time and the main dish can be prepped then baked right before serving. Now, let’s get cooking!
