It seems that nowadays, time passes way too fast. Kids grow up, circles of friends change, I use a little more eye cream than I used to but after all is said and done, I have a wonderful life. One of the things I learned a long time ago is that I have to make time for family and friends. Yep, I said it, we have to MAKE time to spend with those we love and care about.

I like to have a little some thing to nibble on and something special to drink. The thing is, pulling a little “party” together does not have to be stressful or showy, just use the best ingredients and loads of hospitality. The one thing I always do is serve my guest the very best and that includes my new favorite iced tea from Southern Breeze.

Southern Breeze Sweet Tea, offers pre-sweetened, individually bagged teas for cold-brewing. Anyone who loves the refreshing flavor of sweet tea can enjoy a Southern staple without the bother of the traditional brewing process, and it’s also sugar-free. The Southern Breeze cold brew collection includes Original, Peach, Raspberry and Half & Half. Each box holds 20 single-serve bags, so all you have to do is make your own glass of cold-brew iced tea.

A big sticking point with me when using sweeteners is that I really dislike that strange aftertaste most leave but not with Southern Breeze. All you do is place a few ice cubes in a glass, pick your favorite flavor of tea, then pour over cold water and magically in a few short minutes, you’ve got an incredible glass of sweet, iced tea.southern breeze single serve sweet tea

Now, back to my little party where my friend and I were talking, sharing, drinking tea and nibbling on snacks. Like I said, I always like to serve a little something homemade, but not fussy when friends come over. Before my little gathering, I had a some time so I made an insanely, simple snack – Bacon Bow Tie Crackers. Yes, it’s bacon wrapped around a cracker and baked until perfectly crisp. I know these are not a low-cal kind of snack, but who cares, Southern Breeze has zero calories, so, it was Bacon Bow Ties for the win!

sweet tea and crackers

My friend and I had the best time that afternoon. We laughed and shared stories. We also encouraged each other and lifted each other up because, you know…life can be hard. At the end of it all, we were just together, savoring the moment.
