Eggnog Pound Cake Recipe

Preheat oven to 325 and prepare a tube or bundt pan. Use a hand mixer to cream butter and sugar in a large bowl.

Mix in eggs, spices and vanilla. Add flour and eggnog alternating into the mixture, starting and stopping with flour.

Scrape down the bowl. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Test for doneness, then place the cake on a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and continue to cool.

While the cake is cooling, make the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together confectioner sugar and eggnog until smooth.

Drizzle the eggnog glaze evenly over every nook and cranny of the cooled pound cake. Let the glaze dry a bit before serving.
