Southern Style Green Beans

Southern Style Green Beans are a down-home recipe that’s easy to make! Fresh tender green beans cooked with bacon and just the right amount of seasoning is the perfect side dish for any meal.

Cook sliced bacon in a hot skillet until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.


Add green beans to the pan and cook over medium-high heat. Mix in bacon drippings.


Pour in the broth and add spices. Stir to incorporate, then mix in the chopped bacon. 


Turn the burner to low, cover, and simmer the green beans for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.


Taste the green beans, and adjust the spices to your liking. Serve with favorite main dishes!
