Sweet Heat Pickles

Sweet heat pickles are made with jarred pickles, red pepper flakes, garlic, herbs, and sugar. They’re a great balance of sweet and spicy flavors, and perfect to add to dishes or enjoy out of the jar!

Drain the pickles and discard the juice. Thinly slice the pickles.

Layer the slices in a jar with sugar, garlic, red pepper flakes, parsley, and jalapenos.

Cover jar and store on the counter for about an hour, or until the sugar begins to liquify.

Leave on the counter for several more hours, or overnight. Stir and refrigerate 1 to 2 days.
