Chocolate chip pound is easy to make and full of flavor. It's dense and full of chocolate flavor and will be a hit with dessert lovers.

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup butter - room temperature
  • 8 oz cream cheese - room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 large eggs - room temperature
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet


  • Heat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare a tube or bundt pan by coating with cooking spray then flour. Set aside.
  • In a medium size bowl, add flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Whisk together.
  • Using a stand or hand mixer, cream together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and beat for approximately 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time while mixer is running. Add vanilla. 
  • Slowly add flour mixture and continue to mix until just blended. Do not over mix. Add chocolate chocolate chips and blend. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean from center of cake.
  • Let cool 15 minutes in pan. Invert to a plate, then flip over again. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
