Maple Bacon Green Beans

Ingredients

– Fresh Green Beans – Yellow or Vidalia Onion – Cooked Bacon  – Maple Syrup – Soy Sauce – Fresh Cracked Pepper – Kosher Salt

Green beans are a classic side dish now made even easier thanks to the Crock Pot. Tender green beans, with a hint of sweetness from maple syrup, and a bit of smokiness from bacon, are so good that this recipe is sure to become a favorite for years to come.

Add green beans, onion, and 1 cup of bacon to a Crock Pot.

Step 1

In a small bowl, stir together vegetable stock, maple syrup, and soy sauce. Pour over green beans. Sprinkle on pepper and salt and stir ingredients together.

Step 2

Place lid on Crock Pot and set the timer to 5 hours. Stir the green beans half way through cook time.

Step 3

When the timer goes off, stir the green beans and place them on a serving platter or in a bowl. Sprinkle on the remaining 1/2 cup of chopped bacon.
