Crock Pot Country Style Ribs are slow-cooked until they’re tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Coated in a rich, savory sauce, they’re the kind of no-fuss comfort food that’s just right for busy weeknights or relaxed weekend dinners—no need to leave the house to enjoy ribs this good!
Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet or heavy bottom pan. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper and sear, on all sides, until golden. Remove the ribs from the pan and place them in the Crock Pot.
To a medium-size bowl, add ketchup, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, chili powder, onion powder dried thyme, dried parsley, and dried mustard. Whisk together and pour over the ribs. Place the lid on the Crock Pot and cook on HIGH for 6-7 hours or LOW for 8 hours until the ribs are done.
Remove the ribs to a serving platter, and spoon over the sauce from the bottom of the Crock Pot. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes
For this recipe, getting a good sear on the ribs is best. It helps impart extra flavor. I use a cast iron skillet (get it screaming hot) to brown the ribs. Work in 2 batches so the ribs do not touch while searing the meat and fat.
Store any leftover ribs with the homemade barbecue sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven until warmed through.
