Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

– Crushed Tomatoes – Tomato Sauce – Dried Italian Seasoning – Sugar – Kosher Salt

– Ground Beef – Yellow Onion – Garlic – Tomato Paste – Pepper – Water

This is not your average “easy recipe” for spaghetti sauce! It’s thick, meaty, made in about an hour, and is terrific served with pasta and warm bread for a meal that will soon become a staple for your family.

 11 Ingredients, 4 Steps

To a large Dutch oven, set to medium-high heat, and add ground beef. Cook for 5 minutes. Drain off any excess fat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent.

Step 1

Add tomato paste and garlic, cooking for 1 minute. Add in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir.

Step 2

Using the empty can of the 15-ounce tomato sauce, fill it with water. Pour into the sauce and stir. Turn heat to low, and place the lid on the pot at a half-angle. Simmer the spaghetti sauce for 45-50 minutes, until the sauce is thick.

Step 3

To serve, cook spaghetti or your favorite pasta, top with sauce, Parmesan cheese, and parsley.
