This recipe is short on work and big on flavor and it's all made on a single pan. Juicy hamburger steaks along with savory mushrooms and onions is a perfect dinner made for 2 and easy enough to make for a crowd.
Line a baking pan with tin foil. Place onions and mushrooms on the pan, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper and toss to coat. Gently nestle each hamburger steak on top of veggies. Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper.
Place pan in the oven and cook for approximately 25 minutes or until steaks are brown around edges. Remove from oven and top with pat of butter.
Let rest for 5 minutes and serve with with your favorite side dish.

Notes
Choose a good, sturdy sheet pan. I use this one, and it has served me well for several years. It's heavy and does not warp when heated. Line the pan with aluminum foil for easy clean up.
Make sure to season evenly. I like to sprinkle my veggies with olive oil, salt, and pepper plus any other seasoning, and toss them together with my hands. Then I add my protein and season it separately.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave or the oven in a baking dish.
