Whether you’re looking for a delicious side dish or an easy way to feed a crowd, Crock Pot Baked Potatoes are sure to be a family (and friend) favorite. Forget turning on the oven and use this easy method to make delicious potatoes, with only 3 ingredients!
1-1 ½teaspoonskosher salt (¼ teaspoon per potato or to taste)
Instructions
Prick each potato with a fork, place it in the center of the foil, drizzle with ½ teaspoon olive oil, and sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon kosher salt. Rub the salt and oil over the surface of the potato, then wrap it tightly with the foil sheet, and place it in your slow cooker.
Cook the potatoes on high for4 to 5 hours or low heat for 8 to 10 hours, until soft and tender. Do not overcook, or the potatoes may become soggy. Test the potatoes with a fork or knife to ensure they are cooked to your desired level of tenderness.
Remove the potatoes from the crock pot and carefully unwrap them. Cut a slit in the top and serve with your favorite toppings.

Notes
I use a 6-quart or 8-quart crockpot which will hold anywhere from 4 to 8 potatoes, depending on their size.
Cooked potatoes can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container and frozen for up to 3 months.
To Make A Baked Potato Bar:
Keep the potatoes warm by placing them in the crock pot and using the KEEP WARM setting.
What are good toppings for a baked potato: favorites like cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, sour cream, chopped chives, or green onions, are always yummy. But you can also think outside the box and consider providing steamed broccoli, cheese sauce, Pico de Gallo, award-winning Southern Soul Chili, olives, Shredded Mexican Beef, and/or Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce.
Position everything on your table, starting with the potatoes and the line of topping options. Make sure everything has its own fork or spoon.
