Meal Prep & Leftover Tips

Creamy White Chicken Chili: If you plan on freezing this chili, follow the recipe up to the step before adding cream cheese and half-and-half. Add those after thawing and reheating.

Candied Jalapeños: Make a double batch of these jalapeños (they’re seriously that good) and spoon some over a brick of cream cheese and eat with tortilla chips or crackers for an irresistible snack or appetizer.

Sour Cream Cornbread: This is a great make-ahead recipe. Once baked, cover with foil and store in the fridge. Heat in the oven when ready to serve.

Family Favorite Chopped Salad: Customize this salad with your favorites or use whatever you have on hand. Add nuts or seeds, whatever cheese you like, fresh veggies, pepperoncinis, sliced deli meat, and olives or capers!

Pimento Cheese Bites: Experiment with different jellies to find your favorite. One of mine is jalapeño pepper jelly, but bacon jam also sounds amazing!

Honeycrisp Apple Muffins: Firm apples are best for baked goods because they can withstand the required baking time. I prefer Honeycrisp, but Granny Smith, Kinder Crisp, Gala, or Fuji work.

Sausage Frittata: The beauty of a frittata lies in its simplicity and adaptability. You can throw in almost any leftovers you have in the fridge—don’t let that handful of spinach, single potato, and leftover roast chicken go to waste, make a frittata.
