Meal Prep & Leftover Tips

Taco Spaghetti Bake: Homemade taco seasoning is the difference. A packet works in a pinch, but my homemade blend gives you layers of flavor that a pre-mixed packet just cannot match. I always keep a jar on hand.

Easy Roasted Broccoli: For the freshest broccoli, look for bright green heads with firm stems and stalks!

Golden garlic knots topped with sesame seeds and fresh herbs, served with red dipping sauce on a wooden board

Garlic Knots: These garlic knots can be stored at room temperature in an air-tight container for 3 days. Otherwise, they can be frozen for up to 2 months or stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Apple Spice Cake with icing sliced on a plate.

Apple Spice Cake: The best apples to use for this recipe are ones that firm and bake well. I like a mix of Granny Smith, Honey crisp or Gala apples.

Cream cheese sausage balls on a white plate with serving skewers on a wooden board.

Bisquick Sausage Balls: To make ahead of time, mix everything up, scoop out the batter, flash freeze it on a sheet pan, then pop them into a bag and freeze. When ready to bake, place on the sheet pan, allow to thaw, and bake.

Outrageously Good Stuffed Celery: Make ahead by preparing the cream cheese filling and the celery, then store them separately in the refrigerator. Fill them a couple of hours before you’re ready to serve.

Ramen Broccoli Slaw made with toasted, packaged noodles, broccoli, carrots, green onion and a savory sweet dressing is a delicious side dish. Perfect for a weeknight meal, cookout, pot luck or covered dish supper.

Ramen Broccoli Slaw: Slivered almonds are a great addition. Turn this slaw into a main dish by adding grilled chicken, shrimp, pork or steak.

Southern Coffee Punch: If you want to spike it, a splash of Kahlúa, bourbon, or Irish cream blends in beautifully with the coffee and cream flavors.
