Fruit Party Punch: A Beautiful Sip Of Cheer!
Over the years, whether I hosted a party for my family, my boys and their friends, the neighborhood, or a holiday gathering for 50, I’ve always tried to make things special. For me, entertaining is not just an event; it’s a tradition steeped in warmth, hospitality, and a genuine love for bringing people together.
One of the things that I’ve learned about entertaining is that keeping things simple with great food is the key to making people happy. Fruit Party Punch does all that and more! With just 6 easy-to-find ingredients and 10 minutes of prep time, you’ll be sipping on this refreshingly sweet, citrus-infused beverage at Christmas and New Year’s, graduations, and Easter and Mother’s Day.
What Are The Ingredients In Fruit Punch?
- Cranberry Juice Cocktail, and Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- Sugar
- Chilled Ginger Ale, and Raspberry Sherbet
- Fresh Lemon or Lime Slices – for garnish
Variations For Homemade Fruit Punch
- Change out the cranberry juice for pineapple juice, orange juice, white grape juice, or apple cider.
- Instead of ginger ale, you can add carbonation with lemon-lime soda, club soda, or tonic water.
- You can swap out the sherbert for lemonade concentrate or orange juice concentrate.
My Pro Tip
You want to let the flavors in the punch marinate as long as possible in the fridge to bring out the best taste. So if you have the time to prepare the punch the night before, I highly recommend doing so.
How To Make This Party Punch Recipe
- Combine cranberry juice, lemon juice, and sugar in a medium-sized pitcher. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Place in fridge and let chill for at least an hour until you’re ready to serve.
- Add lemon and lime slices to a punch bowl or large pitcher (a drink dispenser works great, too) and pour in sweetened juice.
- Pour in chilled ginger ale and stir.
- To serve, gently stir in sherbet. Garnish with ice cubes or an ice ring.
Can I Add Alcohol To The Recipe?
While one of my favorite things about this punch is that everyone can enjoy it just like it is, you can certainly make an alcoholic version for adults.
- You can add one ounce of liquor to each serving, or add about 3-3.5 cups of spirits to the larger batch, depending on how strong you want it.
- I recommend champagne, vodka, rum, rose wine, or prosecco to turn this simple recipe into a spirited holiday punch!
How To Make An Ice Ring
- Place 2-3 cups of sliced fruit, fresh strawberries, citrus peel curls, edible flowers, and/or fresh herbs in your pan in a bundt pan or small freezer-friendly cups, then pour water, club soda, lemon-lime carbonated beverage, or desired punch recipe around fruits.
- Freeze for several hours, or until firm. To remove the ice ring from the pan, dip the bottom of the pan in warm water for a few seconds. Invert over a large plate to release the ring.
Questions And Answers
Yes, you can! Since you already have to let the cranberry and lemon juice mixture chill in the fridge, you can extend the chill time overnight. This also allows the flavors to marinate together before adding ginger ale and sherbet.
You can easily adjust the quantities to serve a smaller or larger group. Just keep the same ratio of ingredients for the best results.
Store any leftover punch in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
