How To Make The Best Beef And Cheese Sliders

  • Prep the rolls by slicing the slider rolls horizontally and placing them in the bottom of a baking dish. In a small bowl, whisk BBQ sauce, mayo, and Dijon mustard, and spread the mixture evenly over the bottom half of the bread.
  • Layer the roast beef and cheddar cheese slices over the BBQ mixture and place the top half of the slider rolls on.
  • Add butter, brown sugar, remaining Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds to a small saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove the butter mixture from the heat, and spoon it over the sliders.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for another 5-8 minutes until the tops of the rolls are golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Cut into individual sliders and then serve.

Helpful Tips

  • Use good quality Hawaiian rolls. They should be soft and fluffy.
  • Thinly sliced roast beef works best in this slider recipe. This will help the sliders cook evenly.
  • After baking, use a serrated knife to cut the rolls into mini sandwiches.

Sliders With Crock Pot Beef Roast

I like to take these sliders to a whole new level by using roast beef that I cooked in the slow cooker. My recipe for Crock Pot Beef Roast is simple and makes fall-apart, tender, flavorful, and juicy beef. It’s an amazingly delicious substitution for deli roast beef when you want to turn sliders into something extra special.

Used leftovers from a chuck roast cooked in the slow cooker a couple nights ago. Husband does not like mustard or spicy food so I substituted Stonewall Kitchen Sweet Honey Mustard in place of the Dijon and halved the brown sugar to cut the sweetness

    All I can say is…WOW!!

  2. If I use your crockpot roast recipe for the roast beef, how many sliders would it make? I’m looking at making 48 sliders and trying to figure out how many pounds of roast I will need.

  3. Just wondering how much Dijon to put in with BBQ sauce as it is not listed, only the Dijon in the butter sauce is listed.

  4. I really wanted to try this recipe BUT it did not contain the amount of ingredients to be used or the degrees needed for oven use.

    1. I have a FULL RECIPE CARD included with every post. You will find all of the ingredients and instructions, including the oven time and time along with helpful tips there.
