Anyone who has kids knows how great English muffin pizzas are. They are one of the first meals or recipes my boys learned to make, and it opened up an entire world of independence for them. Now that they are grown, me and the husband still enjoy them when we just aren’t sure what else to make. They are quick, easy, and use up what you have in the kitchen already!

- Customizable: Use any toppings you love!
Ingredients For English Muffin Pizzas
Pizza Basics
- English Muffins: I use classic ones, but whole wheat or sourdough will work, too.
- Olive Oil: We’ll brush this onto the muffins to get a nice crisp texture, like a pizza crust!
- Pizza Sauce: This is a quick mixture of tomato sauce, garlic powder, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Oregano and Italian seasoning are also nice in this! For less spice, you can leave out the red pepper flakes.
Pizza 3 Ways
- Ham & Cheese: Top your pizza with ham and cheddar cheese. Add pineapple for a Hawaiian variation.
- Classic: Go extra cheesy with mozzarella, feta cheese, and parmesan. Finish with a sprinkle of chives for a pop of flavor.
- Pepperoni: Another classic, top this version with mozzarella and slices of pepperoni. This is one of our favorite pizza toppings!
Step By Step Directions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven and cut open the English muffins. Brush the inside of each muffin half with olive oil.
- Make the sauce: Mix all the ingredients together. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute, then spread on top of the English muffin halves.
- Assemble and Bake: Top with your favorite toppings and bake for 8-10 minutes or until crispy and the cheese is melted.

I can’t wait to try these. What do you do with the olive oil?
Thanks
Hey Teresa. I drizzle the olive oil on the muffins to help them crisp up a bit. Hope this helps!
