Crunchy and full of savory flavors, Spicy Ranch Crackers are not your average snack! They are crunchy, buttery, and loaded with zesty flavor—and the best part? There’s no baking involved. I’ve been making this recipe for years because it’s just so easy. With a handful of pantry ingredients and a little shake, you’ll have a spicy snack that’s perfect for parties, game day, or just keeping on hand for cravings.

It’s crazy to think that a recipe this simple needs to be written down and shared, but trust me, once you make these crackers, your friends will be begging you to share the recipe. Y’all, I’m not kidding when I say you can’t eat just one!
Quick Tips For Serving And Storing
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week—they stay crisp and flavorful.
- For extra flavor, let them sit overnight after mixing. The seasoning soaks in beautifully!
- They’re the kind of snack that’s just right for casual get-togethers, I love them for movie night, or even stashing them in the car for road trips.

My son wanted to make something for his girlfriend’s family for Christmas. This was perfect. He mastered it easily and they all enjoyed snacking on them over the holidays. We even had all the ingredients around the house so there were no lat minute store runs. It’s a perfect snack and gift.

Ingredients For This No-Bake Recipe
This crazy good snack crackers recipe is made with ingredients you probably have in your pantry, and it could not be easier to make.
- Saltine Crackers – You can change the crackers and make spicy ranch oyster Crackers.
- Canola or Vegetable Oil – Another mild vegetable oil will work, but canola is the lightest and mildest option. You can also use olive or avocado oil is you want.
- Ranch Dressing Mix Seasoning – I like Hidden Valley Ranch.
- Red Pepper Flakes – for extra spice. Feel free to leave them out if you don’t like the heat.
Variations On This Spicy Cracker Recipe
- Switch out the ranch seasoning for lemon pepper, garlic powder, dill, onion powder, taco seasoning, or Za’atar.
- Melted butter or avocado oil can be swapped out for canola oil.
- Make ranch oyster crackers in place of the saltines. You can also use cheese crackers, mini saltines, or goldfish crackers.
Step-By-Step Directions
- Place crackers in a large bowl. Mix together ranch seasoning, red pepper, and canola oil.
- Drizzle the mixture over crackers and, using a large spoon, gently toss to coat. Mix crackers about every 5- 8 minutes for a total time of 20 minutes.
How Long Do Spicy Ranch Saltine Crackers Last?
After all the oil has been absorbed, store the crackers in an airtight container for up to one week.

Ways To Serve Spicy Ranch Crackers
I love to munch on these crackers plain, but they are stellar with my Homemade Pimento Cheese and Dill Pickle Herb Dip. Or for a lighter option, serve them with Black Bean and Corn Salsa. And for lunch (a great option for leftovers), I love dipping them into Crock Pot Potato Soup or Bloody Mary Chili.

I don’t see previous post so I shall try again. My Mother passed prior to “Ranch seasoning”. Just want to know if it is Ranch for dip or for salad dressing. I know they are dry ingrediencies.
Dip is fine.

I have been searching for this recipe. My Mother passed it down and called them “Cajun Crackers”. Question: Do I use Ranch dip mix or salad mix?

Would be helpful to have a measurement for the ranch seasoning since they sell it in big jars too.

Hello,
I haven’t tried this yet but it looks delicious! Question: What are the green specks I see on the crackers and the white chunks on the crackers? It looks like flecks of parsley and some kind of cheese, but the recipe doesn’t call for any of those ingredients. Just curious…
What you see on the crackers is part of the herbs and seasoning.
