How To Make Lemon Garlic Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • Chicken Wings
  • Fresh Lemons – the zest and juice are needed for this recipe.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil – butter can be substituted.
  • Garlic – garlic cloves are used, but garlic powder can be substituted.
  • Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper – for more spice, cayenne pepper can be used.
  • Parsley – for garnish.

Instructions

  • Heat oven. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Set aside.
  • Zest and juice one lemon into a large bowl, then add olive oil, salt, and pepper. Using a micro plane or small grater, grate garlic cloves into olive oil. Whisk all ingredients together.
  • Add chicken wings and toss to coat thoroughly. 
  • Coat the cooking rack with cooking spray. Place chicken wings on the rack. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Turn wings and cook for 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown and done.
  • Turn wings over one last time and broil to get extra crispy skin.
  • Zest and juice the second lemon. When the chicken comes out of the oven, drizzle with lemon juice, then sprinkle with zest and salt. Let cool, then serve.

  • 2 lemons
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic – peeled
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
