Is there anything better than the beautiful smell of freshly baked bread? Maybe not. My family loves warm rolls, and then they’re made with garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and melted butter; they are turned into something irresistible.
You are going to love this Parmesan skillet rolls recipe, too. I make them with a store-bought shortcut of frozen dinner rolls. There’s very little prep since we are not making homemade dough with yeast and flour.
This effortless recipe is going to make you look like a rock star in the kitchen. All you do is thaw the dough, melt the butter, toss in the cheese and herbs, then bake. The result? Perfectly baked, buttery rolls that are soft, warm, and ready to devour!

What To Serve With Garlic Parmesan Rolls?
These rolls are one of my favorite things to serve for family dinners and a must for Sunday supper, Thanksgiving, and Christmas celebrations. Here are a few ways I like to serve them:
- Weeknight meals: with Crock Pot Chicken Thighs, Lasagna Spinach Roll-ups, Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce or Crock Pot Hawaiian Meatballs, and a green salad with homemade dressing.
- Sunday supper: with Slow Cooker Balsamic Glazed Pork Roast or Brown Sugar Mustard Baked Ham, Southern Candied Yams, Skillet Green Beans, and Fresh Tomato Salad.

- 12 frozen dinner rolls (I use Rhodes)
- ½ stick butter – melted
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon dried italian herb blend
- 3 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ teaspoon salt – optional
Instructions
- Lightly butter the bottom of a cast iron skillet. Place dinner rolls in skillet. Let rolls thaw until doubled in size – according to package directions.
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Melt butter in microwave safe dish. Once melted, add garlic, herbs and salt. Stir to combine. Brush butter mixture over rolls.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Take rolls out of oven and sprinkle on cheese. Return to oven and bake until done, approximately 5 more minutes.
