Sharing the gift of hospitality has always been important to me. It’s our home’s hallmark, and I love making people feel special. Over the years, I’ve crafted simple, flavorful dishes that are great for serving any time of the year and ones I know that my family and friends will enjoy.

Whether Rocky Road Candy Clusters or Oreo Truffle Balls, I always have something ready for guests! Recently, I added this incredible fruit dip to my treasury of recipes. It’s so tasty that one reader even said it’s “so simple and delicious! Perfect for summer!”

Creamy Cream Cheese Fruit Dip Ingredients

Honey pour with cream cheese and sour cream for fruit dip.
  • Cream Cheese: I use regular cream cheese for the texture and flavor, but low-fat can be substituted. It’s easiest to mix if it’s at room temperature and softened first.
  • Vanilla Greek Yogurt: This dip needs sweetened yogurt. Some recipes use marshmallow fluff, but Greek yogurt adds a tang and some protein!
  • Honey: You can also use vanilla extract, agave, or maple syrup, but maple syrup gives the dip a rich flavor.

Want To Make This Dip Dairy Free?

You can swap regular cream cheese for the same amount of vegan cream cheese. You’ll also need to substitute the Greek yogurt with coconut milk yogurt. The texture of the dip may be a little different, but the flavor will be the same.

How To Make Fruit Dip With Greek Yogurt

  1. Place cream cheese in a medium bowl and beat with a hand mixer or wooden spoon until smooth.
  2. Add yogurt and honey and mix until well blended.
  3. You can serve it immediately or cover it and chill it in the refrigerator until you are ready to enjoy it.

Commonly Asked Questions

Can this yogurt fruit dip be made ahead of time?

Yes, it can. I like to make this recipe the day or night before serving. After making it, I store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

How should this dip be stored?

Leftover fruit dip can be kept in the fridge for up to 4 days in an airtight container. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months. However, it does lose some of its creamy texture as it thaws.

How do I avoid a lumpy dip?

The cream cheese must be soft to mix well. (I sat mine out on the counter for about an hour.) A hand mixer is also helpful if you struggle to get the lumps out.

Can I make the recipe go further?

Yes! When I’m not sure if I have enough dip for everyone, I fold in whipped cream or cool whip (whatever I have on hand). This just makes the dip lighter in consistency but doesn’t impact flavor.

How To Serve This Easy Fruit Dip Recipe

This dip is delicious with fresh fruit like strawberries (one of my favorite fruits!), bananas, blueberries, melon, apple slices, cantaloupe, raspberries, blackberries, kiwi, and grapes. Or, you can pair it with Pound Cake or dippers like butter cookies, graham crackers, and ginger snaps. It’s also fun to make a fruit tray with animal crackers and nilla wafers are also really fun for kids.
